Equines & Farm Animals:

Ellen, Horse Pet & Livestock Sitter (EHPLS) offers drop-in and overnight stable and farm sitting services in the Municipalities of East Hants, West Hants, and Halifax (HRM).  I live in Mount Uniacke, just 15 minutes from HRM. 

Stables & Farms

Your pets and critters will be treated as a member of my family, with as much love, respect, and affection as they deserve.  They'll also be kept settled and comfortable during your absence.

  • Drop-in and overnight stable and farm sitting services available.

  • Pets and animals are cared for and handled according to your explicit, written instructions.

  • One complementary visit before you go away.

  • Regular updates while you're away. 

  • Daily inspections for illness, disease, and injury.

  • Daily fence and perimeter checks.

  • Medications administered upon request.

  • Other house/stable/farm sitting services such as watering the plants, can be arranged.

  • Routine trips to the groomer or vet and other requests will be considered at extra charge.

Other Important Info about EHPLS

 

  • RCMP Criminal Records checked.

  • Pet First Aid Certified (dogs, cats, and small house pets/companion animals).

  • Equine Health and Emergency First Aid Certified.

  • Certified in biosecurity, safe animal handling, farm safety, disaster planning, and much more.

  • Member of Nova Scotia Equestrian Federation (NSEF).

  • Member of Nova Scotia Agricultural Federation (NSAF)

  • Many references available.
